McKay’s Mill Annual Master Board Meeting
The annual Master Board meeting will be held Monday, April 30th at 7:00 at the McKay’s Mill clubhouse. Three Board of Directors positions are up for election. The seats are currently held by Bill Evans, Norris Alderson, and Chad Story.
If you would like to have your name put on the ballot, please contact jaye.kloss@ghertner.com by April 23, 2012. Norris Alderson is head of the Nominating committee and is looking for others to serve with him. You can email him at nalderson@comcast.net. Nominations will also be taken from the floor during the meeting. Ghertner will be sending detailed information about the meeting and the agenda to all homeowners by mail.
We certainly hope you will join us in celebrating the spirit of the community we enjoy here at McKay’s Mill.
Tap Root Farms Special For McKay’s Mill Residents
Dear Residents, Tap Root Farms has been a staple in this area for generations and part of McKay’s Mill is actually built on land that use to be a part of the Farm. Tap Root holds many camps and activities throughout the year and they would like to extend special discounts to our residents. The next set of camps have been set for June and registration normally runs $289 for the camp but for McKay’s Mill residents registration will be discounted to $249. Tap Root would like to extend specials and discounts to our community for many of the fun things they have planned this year so please stay tuned for more information.
McKay’s Mill Family Continues to Bring Attention to Haiti Struggles
Recently, NBC covered a story about an extraordinary McKay’s Mill family and their experience of adopting 2 wonderful little children from Haiti. Such an outstanding family and we are blessed to have people like this in our community.

New Business Open in McKay’s Towne Center
McKay’s Mill Special Meeting
Dear Residents of McKay’s Mill,
A Special Meeting of the Master Association Board of Directors will be held at 6:30 PM on Thursday, November 17, at the McKay’s Mill clubhouse. The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the (Green for Green) well/irrigation project planning that that has taken place, the cost of the project, and the expected return on investment. All owners are invited to attend, and to participate in the discussion. The Master Board of Directors encourages your input, so if you are unable to attend, please submit your comments and questions to Janice Linder at janice.linder@ghertner.com by COB November 18 as the Board must approve the 2012 budget by November 30, 2011.

Partial Road Closure Announcement
FiftyForward, YWCA and other nonprofits, are sponsoring a race “Viva Le Diva” on Saturday, November 19.
The race route is going to have roads closed in McKay’s Mill – mainly Liberty Pike between the entrance to McKay’s Mill down to the turnaround by Publix. The race will also affect Clovercroft.
