The pool is located in the heart of the community next to the clubhouse. Our olympic size saltwater pool includes a roped off shallow section for young swimmers and a separate splash pool for toddlers.
As the safety of our residents is our first priority, we would ask that you review some of the pool rules listed below. A full copy of all pool rules is posted on the fence outside the pool. If you have any questions or concerns about the pool, please contact us, your Ghertner property managers, Jaye Kloss (277-0343) or Janice Linder (591-6993).
Due to liability and safety regulations, alcohol is not allowed inside the pool area. All children in the Kiddie Pool must be kept within arms reach of an adult at all times. This area is not assigned a lifeguard. Please note “swim diapers” must be worn at all times; the padding from regular diapers damages pool filters.
In the main pool, younger children and those who are not proficient swimmers must be kept within arms reach of an adult at all times. The lifeguards may ask children to take a swim test before being allowed in deeper water.
Items left in the Lost and Found will now be removed after seven (7) days.
Please refer to a full copy of 2011 Pool Rules for guest policy rules and guidelines for minors and nannies, but note: Children under age 12 must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
Please review the following with all members of your household. Lifeguards
have the authority to ask anyone in repeated violation of any safety rule(s) or those engaged in inappropriate behavior(s) to leave the pool area:
- No diving. No running on deck. No running jumps into the pool. No smoking.
- All children must leave the pool during the 10 minute rest period. Adults over 18 or those with infants may stay in the pool.
- In the event of thunder and or lightning, everyone must leave the pool and remain outside the gates. The pool will reopen only after thunder and/or lightning has not occurred for 30 consecutive minutes.
- No glass of any kind, please! If glass breaks close to the pool, protocols may require the pool be drained. This is an extremely expensive process and the responsible resident(s) could be financially liable.
- Please make every effort to pick up your own trash, including cups and food. Trash attracts insects and ants.
- Pool parties must be reserved through Sweetwater at 321-9595 no matter what size. This allows for proper staffing at the pool. Pool parties do not include the use of the clubhouse, which must be reserved by contacting Ghertner property manager Janice Linder at 591-6993.
- The pool at McKay’s Mill is one of our greatest amenities. Thank you for helping ensure the safety of all our friends and neighbors. Complete rules and schedule can be found below.
