Some news and a reminder from your Single Family Association Board

By Harold (Al) Smith

Please do not park on the water tower access road, violators could be towed at the owners expense. Also there is NO HUNTING anywhere on the McKay’s Mill property.

This is the time of year that the Board is trimming trees in the common areas and planting new trees where trees have died. It is also the time of year that we are asking the homeowners to trim their trees over sidewalks and roads so as not to impede pedestrian traffic. If you have questions about this contact Mary Katherine Bates at the clubhouse.

Recently the Board has planted extra flowers in many areas, are in the process of repairing some of the monuments, and have done a general clean up of common areas of the Single Family property.

The Board will start next year with painting and shingling the gazebos, and plans more improvements to the flower beds, and islands.

In a few weeks it will be time to take down the Christmas tree. Every year the City of Franklin announces on the City website when they will do a curbside pickup. In years past there has also been a tree station on Turning Wheel lane where you can drop off your tree for recycling. Watch the City website for that information.

Last but not least you should all have received the 2015 budgets from both Boards. Please be reminded that the Single Family dues will be increasing by $2 per month, or $6 per quarter. That will bring the Single Family dues to a total of $66 per quarter. The total amount due for both the Master and the Single Family will be $204 per quarter starting next month.

The Single Family Board wishes all of you a safe and very Merry Christmas.
