City of Franklin Paving Update

The City of Franklin has provided the following update: The City met with the paving contractor today. The weather has hindered the cleaning and paving process. They are scheduled to start the cleaning and paving tomorrow (8/9/23) if the rain moves out fairly early in the morning. They will have 1 or 2 crews cleaning and placing tack oil ahead of the paving crew. It will take approximately 30 minutes for the tack oil to dry once applied to prevent any tacking onto driveways. After it dries traffic can drive over it without any tracking.
The cleanest section and where we plan to start is the Old Cameron Lane/ Tilton Drive section west of the Towne Park Lane roundabout.
Please ask the residents not to park on the street during this process to prevent any delays for the project.

If you have any questions or concerns about this process, please contact either:Doug Pratt Road Inspector with City of Franklin Office: 615-791-3254 Direct: 615-550-6894 Email: doug.pratt@franklintn.gov or Elliot McCeney; Road Inspector with City of Franklin Street Department: Office: 615-791-3254 Email: elliot.mcceney@franklintn.gov
